Our Services

KLH Architects offer our clients a full range of architectural services. These services, detailed below, are complemented by nearly 30 years of practice in the Eastern Region from an experienced team of architects, technologists and technicians.

Feasibility studies

An essential part of the design process, the feasibility studies that KLH Architects are able to offer include the initial briefing discussion with our clients and site appraisal which allow a clear analysis of development proposals and likely effect on Planning matters. Liaison with specialist consultants with whom we are able to fully collaborate will ensure our sketch layouts, massing models and feasibility reports achieve the thorough level of detail required to ensure success for our clients.

Masterplanning

Masterplanning

KLH Architects have accrued masterplanning experience in almost three decades of practice in East Anglia. We are able to offer masterplanning layouts and designs and can negotiate with Planning Authorities and statutory bodies to ensure the schemes we develop are not only best suited to our clients, but are successfully integrated into their local context. KLH Architects are able to support our clients through Public Consultation processes and our experience enables us to provide well documented Statements of Community Involvement for all projects and masterplanning exercises.

Concept design

Concept design

KLH Architects are focused on providing exemplary architecture within the Eastern region. Close dialogue with our clients enables us to formulate design possibilities through a progressive process of discussion, sketching and digital modelling. The development of these concepts is something we pride ourselves in and enjoy the challenge of developing initial concepts to detailed Planning Applications and beyond. As part of the design evolution we are able to advise on planning status, issues and process as well as provide valuable negotiation with Planning Authorities to ensure that any applications are well tested before they are submitted for approval.

Technical design

Technical design

KLH Architects are able to analyse projects and determine the ideal construction methods, structural systems, materials and procurement methods. We are able to provide fully coordinated technical design packages including general arrangement, detailed drawings and sections as well as full coordination of structure, building services and clash detection. KLH Architects carry out full technical appraisals including but not limited to Building Regulations, Health sector HTM and HBN, BREEAM and Secured by Design.

With a full range of the latest construction industry software including Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and NBS Building software, our technical abilities strongly complement our ability to lead contractor tender processes and analysis of tenders. We are able to administer building contracts and work with clients and contractors from contract implementation to project completion and handover.

This is enhanced by the setting and review of corporate and individual quality objectives and targets.

BIM management

BIM management

KLH Architects are able to provide innovative and integrated design through working in a Building Information Modelling (BIM) environment. We work to PAS 1192-2 and are able to manage the collaborative BIM process between all design and construction consultants across a wide range of projects and client teams. Investment in the necessary hardware, software and staff training has allowed KLH Architects to provide highly accurate and coordinated models from concept to construction stages.

Our enthusiasm for BIM provides benefit to our clients. We are able to provide accurate 3D visuals extracted from the model as well as phasing and construction programmes which can be developed alongside the design allowing for efficient project financial planning. Digital models for project handovers can be provided and are highly valuable to clients as accurate Facilities Management tools. The alignment of BIM and sustainability strategies ensures our designs not only comply with relevant standards but go beyond them to provide sustainable buildings that our clients and end users are happy with.
