KLH quartet abseil hospital block to raise funds for Breast Care Centre
In August the design team celebrated the topping out ceremony for the Breast Care Centre at Ipswich Hospital, watching the final roof tile be put into place on the main element of the project.
Not only are KLH delighted to be working on the project, Vanessa Wong, Ben Stephens, Andy Garnham and Greg Robson abseiled down the Maternity Block as part of the Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity Abseil 2022 raising £1,315.00 towards the Blossom Appeal. An incredible £97,436.67 was raised overall towards the £6.2 million required to build the dedicated Breast Centre for patients.
Kim Collingridge, the Lead Breast centre Clinic Nurse Specialist took the opportunity to thank those involved:
“On behalf of the breast team a heartfelt thank you to everyone who braved the abseil to raise funds for the Blossom Appeal. A phenomenal total of £95,510.52 has been raised so far by the abseil and we are truly grateful for every single donation. The many touching personal stories and reasons behind those who took part makes it even more special. We are moving ever closer to our target which would not be possible without the courageousness of those who participated and those who so generously supported them. Thank you so much from us all.”
With thanks to Beardwell Construction for the use of their rooftop design team photo.
