Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Architect role based in the Greater Ipswich Area. The Architect will be responsible for leading and supporting architectural design projects from concept through detailed design and delivery, working mainly in the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop client briefs and lead the design of projects from initial concept to detailed design and construction.
- Manage and deliver projects across all RIBA stages, with a strong emphasis on technical stages (Stages 3–6).
- Produce, review, and coordinate detailed working drawings, technical packages, and specifications.
- Prepare and submit planning and building regulations applications.
- Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project success.
- Coordinate project information and resolve technical design issues.
- Attend and lead project meetings and carry out site visits.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organisational skills.
- Daily use of Revit within a collaborative environment is essential. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working to BIM Level 2 standards and contributing to coordinated 3D models and data outputs.
Requirements
- ARB registered Architect.
- Significant post-qualification experience as an ARB registered Architect, with a portfolio demonstrating proven ability to lead projects from feasibility to completion with a high degree of autonomy.
- Strong technical knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and detailing and experience producing and coordinating detailed construction information.
- Proficiency in Revit and a strong understanding of BIM Level 2 protocols and collaborative workflows, with competency in AutoCAD
- Experience delivering projects across multiple sectors; healthcare, commercial, or retail experience is desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work both autonomously and collaboratively.
- Highly motivated with excellent communication and time management skills.
- Based in or around the Ipswich area.
