We are seeking a talented and driven Chartered Architect to join our respected architectural practice in Ipswich. As an Employee-Owned Trust (EOT), our practice offers a unique collaborative environment where all team members share in our success. Our firm has a strong reputation for delivering quality across a wide range of project types, including healthcare, commercial, and retail. We are looking for a creative individual capable of leading projects autonomously and managing a number of schemes at once. The successful candidate will be responsible for heading up projects from initial concept through to completion, working collaboratively with our dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop client briefs and lead the design of projects from initial concept to detailed design and construction.
- Autonomously manage and deliver projects through all RIBA stages, ensuring design quality and programme adherence.
- Oversee a number of projects simultaneously, demonstrating excellent time management.
- Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project success.
- Prepare and submit planning and building regulations applications.
- Produce detailed working drawings, design layouts, and tender packages.
- Daily use of Revit within a collaborative environment is essential. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working to BIM Level 2 standards and contributing to coordinated 3D models and data outputs.
- Attend and lead project meetings and site visits.
Requirements
- ARB registered Chartered Architect.
- Significant post-qualification experience as an ARB registered Architect, with a portfolio demonstrating proven ability to lead projects from feasibility to completion with a high degree of autonomy.
- Proven ability to manage a number of projects at once.
- Proficiency in Revit and a strong understanding of BIM Level 2 protocols and collaborative workflows, with competency in AutoCAD.
- Excellent understanding of UK building regulations, construction knowledge, and technical detailing.
- A background in healthcare, commercial, and/or retail projects is desirable.
- Based in or around the Ipswich area.

With a strong reputation for delivering quality across sectors including healthcare, commercial, and retail, this role is pivotal to our technical delivery. The role requires the ability to work autonomously to produce and manage comprehensive technical packages, while functioning as a key part of a collaborative project team. You will be required to liaise with clients, consultants and contractors.
Key Responsibilities

- Strong experience delivering projects from feasibility to completion.
- Proficiency in Revit and a strong understanding of BIM Level 2 protocols and collaborative workflows, with competency in AutoCAD.
- Excellent construction knowledge and technical detailing.
- A background in healthcare, commercial, and/or retail projects is desirable.
- Degree qualified, ideally MCIAT or actively working towards chartership.
- Highly motivated with excellent time management.
- Based in or around the Ipswich area.
