An early C19 cottage had been extended into the hill side resulting in dark semi sub-terranean kitchen and dining rooms.
The rear of the house and adjoining garden was sculpted to form open plan living space and garden terrace at a common level. Engagement between interior and exterior space facilitated by glazed screens and common materials run through from inside to out.
